RAVN - Welken Wälder (2010)

My band's first fully black metal oriented EP recorded 100% DIY. Shameless Self-Promotion. Whiskey influenced atmospheric, melodic black metal with staunch Burzum-influenced segments.

Vietah - Zorny Maroz (2008)

Woah - what I want to know is, how did this band escape my attention for the past 2 years? This is SUPERB depressive black metal. This Belarussian black metal act does not fail to impress. Reminds very much of Burzum, but also has its own sound. Slow droning black metal riffs with atmospheric keyboards sets the mood well. The beginnings of these songs are very long...but it's completely worth the wait once the vocals come in, which are sung in Belorussian. So don't bother trying to understand it. Just revel in their glory. Recommended to all fans of depressive black metal - this is the best band in this genre that I have heard since Burzum's early albums. Enjoy.

Blasphemophagher - ...For Chaos, Obscurity, and Desolation (2010)

New release from these Italian black/deathers. I haven't heard it yet, so I won't post a review of it, but I've got a feeling it's going to be awesome. Therefore, you should check it out

Toorn - Galgenberg (2009)

Last post for today. Here's a cool release from Belgian newcomers Toorn. Well done, and very interesting. Hard to put into words. Enjoy it.

Månegarm - Nattväsen (2009)

Here is a cool release from Swedish folk metaller Manegarm. This is not your typical folk metal release, this beginning of the first track is kind of weird and misleading, but this is a very cool album. Definitely recommended to fans of Ensiferum and the like. Not quite as folky as them but still very good.
More posts later on today

Fuck Corporations

Yeah, that's right. Fuck em

Immolation - Majesty and Decay (2010)

That's right motherfuckers, Immolation are back with a new album! This shouldn't surprise you...but it's fucking amazing! Definitely surpasses 2007's Shadows in the Light. This is a MUST HAVE. BUY THIS ONE

(I initially forgot to include the link in this post. My B. ENJOY!)

Weakling - Demo sans vox (1998)

Here's a demo from 1998 by Californians Weakling. No vocals on this though, sorry dudes.

Urgehal - Ikonoklast (2009)

This is the 2009 release from underground Norwegian black metal vets Urgehal, and it is quite a contribution. In my opinion this is leagues beyond their 2006 offering Goatcraft Torment. If you liked Urgehal before, you'll like them even more.

Stridsmenn - Stridsmenn (2009)

This is the debut self-titled full-length from Norway's Stridsmenn. This is very good music, reminds very much of Bergtatt style Ulver. One-man band, very well done. Definitely a must hear for fans of early Ulver. Keep an eye (or ear) out for more stuff from this band.

Bethlehem - Dictius Te Necare (1996)

Dictius Te Necare: Latin for "You must kill yourself." Just the name of the album definitely sets the tone for what is to come. One of the first suicidal black metal bands, and probably the best. Featuring Landfermann of the German death metal band Pavor, simply amazing vocals. This is essential - scratch that, quintessential German black metal.

Bone Awl - Meaningless Leaning Mess (2007)

Well those who know Bone Awl know what to expect: absolutely horrendous recording quality, coupled with awesome groove. What more is there to say? Not much...

Fermenting Innards - Myst (1995)

This is an awesome album from Berliners Fermenting Innards. This was their first and final full-length album, which is a bit of a shame. This is a very black metal influenced death metal record, something very interesting to hear from 15 years ago, when those two genres put together meant something very different. Features current and former members of the black/death band Golem. Excellent release, recommended to anyone who enjoys black metal or death metal.

PIG IN A WOODCHIPPER - Breetarded (2009)

This is a brand spanking new type of metal, electronic pig grind! This stuff is amazingly groovy, the vocals are hilariously awesome, and it generally has an awesome sense of humour. Just one guy with a laptop. Porkgrinder, you RULE!

Blog

Hello, this is a blog that I've created in order to share my favorite, most obscure music with everybody. I'll post an album right after this entry.
